Farina Brooks

Farina Brooks is a community leader and founder of Dream Team United MKE. She started doing community work in 2017 after a 16 yr old young man was innocently killed close to where she lived. She is also a Christian and long time member of Embassy Center MKE (formerly Parklawn Assembly of God). She felt like the church should do more and God spoke to her and told her “I’m the church”. He told me that he had given her all the tools she needed to be and do what she thought the church should be doing. Along with other community leaders, city , state and county leaders she began to do community events (this was before we had a name for our organization. May 16, 2021 we became Dream Team United MKE. We do community groceries giveaways and 4 free big yearly community events. She is also a 2nd stage lung cancer survivor ( January 2018-July 2018) but I still did community work even as she went through chemotherapy. I know that I’m blessed to be a blessing.
